Chapters Transcript Video Welcome and Introductions Good evening everyone. I'm Anne Garce Taylor. I'm the director of community engagement for Ait Melanoma. We're so glad to have you with us. We have people who are joining us via Zoom and Facebook and YouTube. Uh, I will have an opportunity to, uh, tell you more about Amit Melanoma later on after tonight's presenters, but I know that you are anxious to hear from our panelists from the Angeles Clinic and Research Institute. I want to thank Doctor Hamid and our panelists for their collective wisdom. Let me know, let me explain to you how you're gonna get your questions to, um, hello, welcome. Uh we uh we want to explain how you are gonna get your their questions to you this evening. If you are joining us via Zoom, what you'll do is look at the bottom of your screen, and there you will see a button that says Q and A. You, that's where you'll put your questions and Doctor Hamid can uh call through those and decide which ones um uh he would like to select for our live Q&A session. If you are joining us on YouTube or Facebook, then what you will do is you will put your questions into the comment back field and we'll transfer those over to Doctor Hamid. And so with that, I'm going to pass the. The podium, the mic over to Doctor Hamid. Let him uh open our symposium and once again thank you for joining us. I just wanted to introduce everyone in here today and we'll begin with the agenda, but first I. This at the Angelus Clinic and the AIM melanoma collaboration could not happen without the guidance of our CEO, uh, Doctor Lawrence Pirro, who has a few words for us. So I welcome everybody. This is the 15th year. It's been a great, uh, partnership with, um, with AIM is reaching people is not an easy thing to do. It, it seems like the world. The world is, you know, very connected, um, but actually find the ears that need to hear your message in terms of cancer screening and awareness and new treatments and clinical trials is not as easy as it seems. And so this particular meeting, which has existed, as I said, for 15 years has been a great way to reach people. We've reached over 7000 people in the years that we've been doing this, uh, with access to clinical trials that they otherwise would known about and. Potentially life-saving information. So, we're glad you're here. We have um I think we, in the past, we've had as many as 1500 remote viewers and so I imagine that we'll have that today. Uh, often from multiple countries, um, and all over the US, so I welcome all of you. I thank our faculty for taking their time to do this. This is one of the highest callings as a position is to reach people with information that can um cause them to have a different course. So welcome and thank you to the faculty and let's have a good conference. Thank you so much, Doctor. So we have a great, great agenda for you today, as you'll remember. That these meetings are videotaped, that will be available for you on our site and on the AIM site. Uh, our goal here is to educate, to have good discussion and to move the field forward, and that can't happen without your involvement and our collaboration together.
