Overview
The 2023 Cedars-Sinai Hand and Upper Extremity Symposium will provide basic and advanced knowledge of hand and upper extremity injuries and their treatments. The latest in hand surgery and therapy for these injuries will be discussed. The symposium will be divided into Forearm and Wrist sections in the morning and Hand and Finger sections in the afternoon. Each section will incorporate panel-based case discussions.

Objectives

  1. Share experience and approaches to challenging cases with colleagues and expert faculty to enhance understanding of recommended treatment and management strategies.
  2. Recognize the challenges posed by significant orthopaedic injuries and other issues and take steps to mitigate complications and adverse outcomes.
  3. Identify unique and difficult fracture and soft tissue injury patterns and problems in the hand and upper extremity trauma patient and utilize the best treatment options and algorithms for these difficult cases.
  4. Apply performance improvement tips to improve interactions that can result in enhanced patient and provider outcomes and experiences.
